Flarely 3.0 is out. It’s the biggest update since we started, and it’s built around one idea: when you can see your own days clearly, you feel more in charge of what’s going on.

If you already use Flarely, update from the App Store. Everything you’ve logged is still there.

Start with 14 days

Most of us try to remember how the last few weeks went, and memory isn’t great at that. So 3.0 starts with a plan.

Pick two things you want to keep an eye on, like dairy and urgency, or stress and urgency. Then log a little each day. On day 7 you get a first look at how things are going. On day 13 you get your own 14-day summary: what you remembered next to what you actually logged, and your questions side by side.

Then you add your own takeaways and decide what to do next. Flarely doesn’t tell you what caused what. It lays out your days so you can see them for yourself.

Logging takes seconds

Logging was already quick. Now it records more without taking longer.

  • BMs: blood, urgency and pain in three taps, with how much blood and how urgent. Add stool type and mucus if you want them.
  • Meals: snap a photo and Flarely spots the foods and adds tags like dairy, gluten or spicy, with an estimated FODMAP level. You can change anything before it’s saved.
  • Stress: one tap on a 1 to 10 scale.
  • Fasting: log your fasting window if you fast.

See your days side by side

The new Summary tab has a calendar of your BMs with blood and urgency marked, a view of any single day, and charts for 7, 30 or 90 days. Meals are counted by tag, so you can see what turned up most.

Share it with anyone you trust

Make a 30-day summary PDF in one tap. It lays out your BMs, blood and urgency, meals and stress on a page you can pull up on your phone or send to whoever helps you: family, a friend, or your care team.

A recap in plain words

Ask for an AI recap and Flarely writes a short summary of what you logged. It describes your logs and never gives advice. Nothing goes to AI unless you ask: a meal photo, or what you logged for a recap. Those go to OpenAI through our server, which doesn’t keep them, and OpenAI doesn’t use them to train its models.

Your logs stay on your iPhone

That hasn’t changed. Your logs are stored on your phone, not on our servers. There are no ads and no data selling. You pay for the app, and that’s the whole business.

We’ve updated our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use to match 3.0.

A fresh look

New colors, new illustrations, a new icon, and a new Home with today at a glance and your last 7 days.

Pricing

Flarely is free to download. The yearly plan is $39.99 and starts with a 14-day free trial. Monthly is $4.99, with no trial.

Thank you

Flarely is made by someone living with ulcerative colitis since 2019. Every change in 3.0 came from the same question: what would make the next bad day a little easier to get through and look back on?
